The words of Jonas Salk certainly bear truth in the experience of Chris McKegney, owner and operator of McKegney Contracting Incorporated. Over the past fifteen years, Chris McKegney has built a company and a reputation for quality workmanship and reliability.

With a focus on home renovations, McKegney Contracting has built up a clientele and made a name for itself in the Kingston region.

Born and raised in Sydenham, Chris McKegney worked the night shift for four years, cleaning at KGH while he began building his company. Now, ten years later, with a regular crew of carpenters, McKegney Contracting works year round building decks, renovating kitchens and bathrooms, and finishing basements. From planning the design or creating a layout, to installing cabinets and flooring Chris and his team get the job done efficiently and professionally.

McKegney Contracting is extremely busy, but eager to take on projects for anyone in the Kingston region. Chris will work with homeowners to discover what they are looking for and help them with design, regardless of budget. Whether they want standard products or desire custom finishes, McKegney Contracting can meet expectations.

Most standard bathroom renovations can be completed in two weeks; custom jobs may take up to three or four depending on the work involved or waiting time for special order products. Customers can be assured that McKegney contracting gets the job done in the most efficient time possible. They can also expect to double any investment they make on their house especially when renovating bathrooms.

In basements, McKegney creates family rooms with wet bars and built-in entertainment units. They add bedrooms or guest rooms and install bathrooms as well. Outdoor projects include decks, which add to the homes value as well and increase the homeowners enjoyment of the summer season.

After every renovation is complete, McKegney Contracting includes a full top-to-bottom house cleaning provided by a Professional Cleaning Company so the homeowners can enjoy using their new space right away.

McKegney contracting currently employs a crew of eight. Seven carpenters and an office manager. Often Chris brings his 8 year old son Bentley each day and often brings his 8 year old son Bentley to work after school. He hopes to instill in his son the same work ethic and love of construction that he has developed.

While McKegney Contracting has a full season booked ahead, Chris is looking forward to meeting new clients and taking on new projects. His crew works year round, only shutting down for two weeks at Christmas. He is eager to continue serving the Kingston area, taking on jobs as far as Napanee and Gananoque. New clients will quickly find that McKegney Contracting is thorough, creative and meets the highest quality in workmanship.
